Yes before you say it, I already know "that you cannot make fanart of your own OC's or your own artwork." Let's face it trying to make fanart of your own art is the equivalent of you trying to forge your own signature on a legal binding contract, it's not going to happen. I'm just going to say that at least one of these characters do not belong to me. The character by the name of "Spartan" belong to :iconanimespartan:. After :iconmanchinesandmonsters: made this little gem piece fanart:  Spartan by ManchinesAndMonstersof Spartan, I felt a little compelled to make my own version Spartan
Between :iconmanchinesandmonsters:'s version (previously mentioned) and iconanimespartan:'s Spartan redesign by animespartan  Nikki and Spartan by animespartan  Spartan reference 2015 colored by animespartan  The Spartan by animespartandrew what I believe to be a halfway "historically accurate" version of Spartan. Now obviously I took a few liberties with my version of his overall character design, for one thing I had to illustrate him in plated armored sandals instead of boots since that would have been a little more "historically accurate", before I found the rest of the references of Spartan in :iconanimespartan:'s gallery I ended up taking more liberties such as armor and weapon design, for those of you watch me regularly know that when I try to illustrate or portray anything in my artwork, I try to make it look halfway-believable even if the end result of my artwork ends up looking a little "cartoony".

Now originally I wasn't going to include a background, but I decided to play around with kind of an "ancient ruins" idea (hence why this piece took me two weeks longer to complete). I had made a rough sketch design of his sword and sheath so that I had an idea what Spartan's sword was going to look strapped to his hip, that's why you see his sword "levitating" (JK). In all honesty I was too lazy to erase it, so I left it on the final draft. All in all, this piece took me about 2 and a half weeks (or about 56 hours of round the clock) work to finish. This piece was illustrated in Crap-ola colored pencils on an 8"X11" inch sheet of heavy-weight acid free sketch paper. Alright enough about me and what I have to say, go check out AnimeSpartan's character Spartan Into the deep by animespartan and go ahead and check out his gallery while your at it. To :iconanimespartan: well, here you go.
