If you can't guess my command's official theme is vikings.
Here's a bit of conceptual artwork that I did for a contest to be used as official artwork my boat the USS Minnesota SSN783. Unfortunately I did not win, I got eliminated from the contest from the start due to my idea being "too big and overly detailed" for them "to scale down"
to use as an official boat patch or to slap on the side of a coffee cup. My submission would have no doubtfully won if it were not so big and detailed, most of the crew in the forward compartment that saw liked it. I'm still going to get mentions for my submission and a small prize for participating. This piece features a wooden viking warship, a shield maiden and a male viking both in full armor, viking style short sword with the ship's name and title, and of course the one and only "783 Minnesota" Virgina class submarine firing a Mark 48 ADCAP over a Minnesota state background.There is a definite possibility that this will be painted on a bulkhead somewhere in the forward compartment of the boat.
