Description

Here's a little greyscale illustration that I did as a late birthday present to my dad. Sorry guys no honorable mentions to anyone on this site. This one is strictly for my dad. My dad is a hard person to shop for when it come to birthdays because he doesn't normally like celebrating his own birthday; so I decided to draw him a picture. My dad is a pretty big General Motors classic car fan, I guess that aspect of him kind rubbed of on me a little bit (hence why I draw a lot of Chevy and GMC trucks); so I drew him a pair of General Motors classic muscle cars, a 1968 Pontiac GTO and a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 4-4-2 Supreme. Believe it or not this was a real personal challenge for me since this was my first time ever drawing a Pontiac GTO and a Olds Cutlass. This was also my first time drawing muscle cars since 2012: Enviormental Activists Can SHUT UP! by Deorse so obviously unlike the semi trucks:359 Peterbilt/Fruehauf Trailer Sketch by Deorse and the Chevy trucks:On a Dark Desert Highway, ... by Deorse  1979 Chevrolet C60 Custom Deluxe Grain Truck by Deorse(which would be "child's play" for me at this point) these cars were NOT drawn up by memory, I had to reference some pictures the whole time. It took me about a week on and off to draw these cars. To be honest with you this greyscale illustration came out really well, it's probably my best one yet. It almost looks like something out of an old 60's auto advertisement.

As always I'm here to prove to you that any "low grade" medium can be used to create a "master piece". This was all hand illustrated in black Bic ballpoint pen as well as red and blue Zebra ball point pen on cardboard from a cereal box. If had more space on my canvas, I would have also illustrated a 1971 Chevy Chevelle SS for my dad. I enjoyed drawing this piece from start to finish, I hope my dad enjoys it as much as I did.
